How commissions work

Referral type What you promote When it pays Commission
Partner referral Invite a beauty professional to join TapLook and accept jobs You earn when that partner confirms a customer booking on our /confirm page 3% of the order amount, up to 5 confirmed bookings per partner
Customer referral Send customers to book a TapLook service You earn when that customer’s booking is confirmed 3% of the order amount (each confirmed booking)

Currency: CAD
Example: A confirmed order of $85.00 CAD → commission = $2.55 CAD

“Confirmed” means the service was completed and the partner finalized it at taplookspa.com/confirm. Canceled or refunded orders do not qualify.

Tracking & attribution

  • Your affiliate ID is shown in your Affiliate Area (taplookspa.com/affiliate).

  • Links carry two parameters:

    • ref = your affiliate ID

    • type = partner or customer

  • Cookies: We store your click for 30 days. If a visitor clicks different affiliate links, the last click within 30 days gets the credit.

  • We also record a lightweight visit “pixel” for reliability.

Getting paid

  • Minimum payout: $50.00 CAD available balance.

  • How to withdraw: In Affiliate → Dashboard, enter the amount and your e-transfer email, then click Request Withdrawal.

  • Status flow: requested → approved → paid.

  • Notifications: You’ll receive an email when commissions are added and when a withdrawal is approved/paid.

  • Processing time: We typically process approved withdrawals promptly (bank timing may vary).

Your dashboard shows:

  • Total visits

  • Commission accrued

  • Paid out

  • Available balance

  • Daily Commissions (date, booking ID, type, status, amount)

  • Simple charts for commissions by day and traffic sources

Best practices & rules

Allowed

  • Content marketing, social posts, email to your list, personal referrals

  • Clear, honest descriptions of TapLook services and partner benefits

  • Using &campaign= to label your traffic sources

Not allowed

  • Spamming, unsolicited messages, or misleading claims

  • Self-referrals (booking yourself or confirming your own jobs)

  • Bidding on TapLook brand terms in paid search

  • Any activity that violates local laws or TapLook’s Terms

TapLook may void commissions for fraud, refunds, or policy violations.

Quick start (3 steps)

  1. Log in: taplookspa.com/affiliate → note your Affiliate ID.

  2. Share the right link:

    • Recruiting pros? Use the partner link.

    • Driving bookings? Use the customer link.

  3. Track & withdraw: Watch commissions accumulate after each confirmed booking, then request a payout once you hit $50.

Why does my row say “partner” or “customer”?

It reflects the type in your link (type=partner or type=customer) used for that booking’s commission.

What if someone clicks my link, browses, then books later?

As long as they book within 30 days and haven’t clicked another affiliate’s link after yours, you’ll be credited.

Do partner referrals pay forever?

Partner referrals pay 3% for the first 5 confirmed bookings completed by that partner.

Who do I contact for support?

 Email hello@taplook.app with your Affiliate ID and details.
